The Northern Lights Perch....sorry it must be said its AWSOME....Ive just had another pike out of the canal using this lure and ive been trying for weeks in this warmer weather but it seems to be the only lure thats working so far for me....thanks again buddy

If you ever get the chance...come to the U.S for a couple of months(minimum!). For example, live in Michigan, we have 14,000 inland lakes just in this one state, including thousands that are untouched wilderness lakes, not to mention the longest freshwater coastline in the world(thanks, great lakes!) at just shy of 6,000 km. Your love of wild land fishing would mean this is paradise for you!

How do you avoid accidentally catching pike when using lures in the summer?

Been tubing once on a lake in Canada, snow falling , otters swimming . Freezing cold and feeling very odd to be flippering around catching Canadian trout on the fly . All fun tho

In the town I grew up in theres a massive abandoned quarry with trout much like this. They get in when the Wear floods, but then cant escape. I've seen truly massive ones there in my time. its fiercely private property though unfortunately.

The pond is overpopulated causing them small fish. They need to take out over half the perch if you want bigger fish.

If youre still in France. I recommend having a go at catching some of their catfish. You might need to upscale or borrow some equipment though but I promise that you'll have an extremely good time!

Great video and this is the kind of fishing I’ve been promising to do this year. There’s so many ponds on the farms I shoot on and I’ve got to try fishing them. There’s usually a lot of weed which could be a problem 🤷‍♂️👍

There is a nice big one around lancaster canal, near the waterwitch, haven't managed to catch it myself yet, it was right in front of me, on the bottom of the water with an Eel in its mouth. Definitely in double figures! If I manage to land it, I will let you know.
